Major (Ret.) Charles Gordon Owen
Charles Gordon Owen (RCR) was born in Los Angeles, California on May 3, 1929. He served as an officer of 3rd Battalion RCR (Pioneer) and after approximately 16 months of training for overseas service, he was sent to Korea.
During the Chinese attack on Hill 187, he was wounded and became a Prisoner of War for several months. He was released at the cessation of hostilities in 1953.
Charles retired to Victoria, British Columbia.
