Thank you everyone for giving tribute to our past and present Veterans,RCMP and First Responders as well as your continued support of Veterans Voices of Canada!

Our trademark, copyrighted VVOC-Flags of Remembrance tribute is the brainchild of VVOC Founding CEO, Al Cameron. This initiative is designed to pay tribute to our Military Veterans,RCMP and First Responders in a visually stunning display of patriotism and Remembrance. Every year at our opening ceremony, 128 full size, official Canadian flags are raised in participating communities. These flags represent the 128,000 Canadians military and RCMP killed and missing in action from the Boer War to the current missions.

This is the first year we will be giving tribute to our much deserving First Responders and all they sacrifice, many who served in our Canadian Forces. Each flag is accompanied by a sponsored “Plaque of Honour” in tribute or Remembrance of past or current serving personnel. This Plaque of Honour recognizes individuals given tribute to by family, friends or others who would like to recognize those who sacrifice so much.

A key factor to making our tribute unique is how all flags are raised from coast to coast at the same moment(12 noon-AB Mountain Time),unifying all branch locations, tributes and participating Canadians at each site on that day.Along with other components of our ceremony, this makes our initiative truly unique.

The flags and plaques are raised each fall and taken down on November 12th. The opening and closing ceremonies will be held on a date to be announced here and within other social media. All ceremonies  will take place on the same day at each of our tribute communities across Canada.

This annual, national event also serves as Veterans Voices of Canada’s primary fundraiser. Monies raised through our VVOC – Flags of Remembrance tributes are used to fulfill the mandate of the VVOC organization: Giving honour and tribute to our Veterans through historical on camera documentation,as well as historical displays tributes across Canada throughout the year. Funds will also be used for other Veterans Voices of Canada Veteran support initiatives throughout the year.We are proud to say if all Plaques of Honour are sponsored,we will donate a portion of the funds raised to other well deserving charities located in each of the communities where we display and hold our tributes. We are asking a minimum donation of $250 per Plaque of Honour. One name per plaque please.Thank you everyone for all of your past and future support!

2020 Flags of Unity

Our Flags of Unity was our 2020 tribute to all Front-Line Health Care Workers and First Responders from around the world who were dealing with the Covid 19 pandemic. Because of the Covid 19 Pandemic, these selfless individuals put themselves at risk daily.

We felt we needed to show support to them in a way that they would be reminded that we believed in and supported their efforts, therefore along a 1 kilometre stretch of highway we flew the officially sized flags of all countries of the world in support of them for the month of May. This was very well received, and it was an uplifting morale builder for many of them, and it was a true success in the way we intended. We thank and will continue to support our Front Line and First Responder workers in many ways.
